Immunohistochemistry – is a diagnostic method, based on identifying antigens (or their localization) in cells and tissues, using specific antibodies. Today, IHC is a powerful molecular technology, which serves as a "golden standard” in Western countries for diagnostics of malignant tumors.
Oncology is, for sure, the main field of IHC routine use. It allows to solve following tasks:
- the most accurate (among affordable for everyday use recently) diagnostics
- determining of prognosis of clinical course of every particular tumor
- individualization of clinical management of neoplasms
